Impeller is a rotor, rotating component of a centrifugal pump. Front and rear shrouds have pump out vanes that reduce recirculation and seal contamination. Hard metal and molded elastomer impellers are completely interchangeable. Cast in impeller threads require no inserts or nuts. High efficiency and high head designs are also available. It increase or decrease the pressure and flow of fluid.When the slurry pump processing the solid mixture, the most worn parts are impellers. Impeller is the most important part of a pump. It is heart of a Slury Pump.

There are main three type of slurry pump impeller, Open, Semi-open and Closed. Volute Liner

A volute Liner is a curved funnel increasing in area to the discharge port. It is often used with impeller pumps. As the area of the cross-section increases, the volute reduces the speed of the liquid and increases the pressure of the liquid. The main purposes of a volute casing is to help balance the hydraulic pressure on the shaft of the pump.

It links plate liner and forms a Pump chamber to work with impeller, as one of wetted parts for the slurry pump, Its wear-resistance is very important to pump worklife. We offer Cr27Mo high chrome alloy which is high abrasion resistance, and maintenance is simplified by the use of tapered mating faces to allow positive accurate alignment during assembly and simple removal.

Expeller Ring

The expeller ring is together work with expeller for slurry pumps. They can not only help seal the pump, but also reduce the centrifugal force. The design and material of expeller is significant to its service life.

Frame Plate Liner Insert

It is also called a slurry pump back liner based on locating position in slurry pump structure. Frame plate liner insert forms a pump chamber with throat bush and volute liner where the slurry would flow through them.

Slurry pumps

A slurry pump is a type of pump designed for pumping liquid containing solid particles. Slurry pumps changes in design and construction to adjust to multiple type of slurry which varies in concentration of solids, size of solid particles, shape of solid particles, and composition of solution. Slurry pump are more robust than liquid pumps; they have added sacrificial material and replaceable wear parts to withstand wear due to abrasion. Centrifugal, positive displacement, and vortex pumps can be used for slurry. Centrifugal slurry pumps can have between bearing-supported shafts with split casing or rubber- or metal-lined casing. Configurations include horizontal, vertical suspended and submersible. Slurry is usually classified according to the concentration of solids. Engineering classification of slurry is more complex and involves concentration, particle size, shape and weight in order to determine abrasion severity. They are often designed to be suitable for heavy-wearing and heavy-duty uses. 

Depending on the mining process, some slurries are corrosive which presents a challenge because corrosion-resistant materials like stainless steel are softer than high-iron steel. The most common metal alloy used to build slurry pumps is known as "high chrome", which is basically white iron with 25% chromium added to make it less brittle. Rubber line casings are also used for certain application where the solid particles are small.

● SH(R)/SM(R)/SL(R)/SHH(R) series slurry pump is are horizontal heavy Duty slurry pumps, designed for handling highly abrasive, high density slurry with excellent wear life while maintaining efficiency during the wear cycle providing the best total operating cost.

● The shaft seal of the pump can be either a packing seal or a centrifugal seal.
